Our staged packages combine the calibration with the hardware your engine actually needs, keeping the complete setup working as one. What happens before calibration

  • Our pre-tuning checks are included in the tuning price: vehicle details, mileage, fault scan, compatibility and a road test where safe and appropriate.
  • We discuss service history, the fuel used and existing modifications. Faults or unsuitable condition may mean work or validation needs to be postponed.
  • Autotuner and KESS3 equipment support our calibration work. Some ECU unlocks must be sent to a specialist; this is explained once the actual ECU and access requirements are confirmed.

Understanding stages and results

  • Stage 1, 2 and 3 are useful descriptions, not universal engineering standards. The exact hardware, fuel, software and supporting systems define your package.
  • We use a virtual road-performance measurement route where supported. This is not a physical rolling-road dyno, and results depend on vehicle data, conditions and the test method.
  • For vehicles already mapped elsewhere, logging and calibration assessment may be possible. Power measurement depends on access to suitable vehicle data.

If a dealer update overwrites the tune

  • Tell us before a dealer software update where possible, and retain the original tuning details.
  • Reapplication after an update is charged at 50% of the original tuning charge. The updated ECU software and compatibility must be checked before reinstallation.

What is the real difference between Stage 1, 2 and 3?

Stage 1 is primarily calibration on a healthy standard vehicle. Stage 2 matches software to supporting airflow, cooling and exhaust hardware. Stage 3 is a bespoke route for upgraded boost, fuelling or engine components. The label is less important than the exact parts and objective.

Are the advertised power and economy gains guaranteed?

No. Results vary with engine variant, condition, fuel, weather, measuring method and existing hardware. Any likely figures should be treated as vehicle-specific estimates, and economy depends heavily on how the additional performance is used.

Can you tune a van or light commercial vehicle?

Many modern petrol and diesel cars, vans and eligible light-commercial applications can be considered. Compatibility and the intended working use must be confirmed from the registration and control-unit details.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Torque workshop jobs, including Powerflow fabrication, require a 50% deposit before parts ordering or confirming the work booking. The initial free Powerflow assessment remains free and no-obligation. Ask for the written payment and cancellation terms before paying; statutory rights are unaffected.

How will you keep me updated?

We use phone, WhatsApp or email, with written confirmation of changes to project cost or scope. Photos and progress updates can be requested. Parts availability, additional findings and agreed milestones affect the programme.

Will this work on my exact vehicle?

Compatibility depends on registration, model year, engine or transmission code, software and current modifications. Send those details and we will confirm the appropriate route before booking.

Do you provide fixed prices?

Straightforward packages can often be quoted in advance. Bespoke builds, fabrication and diagnostic work are estimated after the vehicle and required parts have been properly scoped.

Will modification affect insurance or warranty?

It can. Modifications should be declared to the insurer, and manufacturer or third-party warranty coverage may be affected. We recommend confirming your position before authorising work.

Can I supply my own parts?

Often, subject to inspection, suitability and workshop agreement. We cannot guarantee the quality or compatibility of customer-supplied parts, and additional labour may apply if they do not fit as expected.

What happens before handover?

Quoted gains are vehicle- and condition-dependent. We prioritise a coherent, usable calibration over chasing a headline figure. The installed system or calibration is checked, and we explain relevant operation, bedding-in, maintenance or follow-up advice.
